It was my privilege back on the 29th April to photograph the wedding of Gaynor and Tony at Prested Hall near Kelvedon in Essex. As I’m sure most of you remember this was also a special day for another wedding as well – of course I’m referring to the Royal Wedding of William and Kate at Westminster Abbey. (As I had already agreed to photograph Gaynor and Tony’s wedding I unfortunately had to let Will’s and Kate down! But I think they managed to find someone else!).
A few weeks ago I was commissioned to shoot some family portrait photographs for a family living at West Mersea in Essex. I have actually photographed Jane (mum) and Tabitha (daughter) before (see here) but this time they were joined by (dad) Dominic.
What they wanted were some outdoor shots of the family having fun together but also a few posed shots, semi formal shots where they would all sit and face towards the camera.
A few weeks ago I completed a pre wedding photo shoot with Louise and Mike, a really great couple, from Milford in Surrey. They both work for the same company involved in developing computer software and although they are based in Surrey Louise actually originates from Sudbury in Suffolk. It was in Sudbury, at Louise’s mums in fact, that I first met them almost a year ago and when they booked me to photograph their wedding.
I was recently approached by two photography students, Becca and Jake, who wished to improve their photographic skills and experience, particularly in relation to portrait photography. Becca, you may remember from a previous blog, she assisted me a couple of months ago with a wedding at Gosfield Hall.
I invited them around to my home studio, along with Becca’s brother, Elliott where we spent a few hours practicing different lighting, posing and shooting techniques. They both thoroughly enjoyed the session (as did I)
I recently did a wedding photo shoot at Maidens Barn, a great wedding venue, near High Easter in Essex. The day was run by Braintree wedding photographer, Jeff Turnbull (www.jeffturnbull.com) and out models were Emma Pudney and Greg Ratcliff. (Who were both brilliant!)
