Halstead Public gardens set in rural North Essex is an excellent location for a pre wedding photo shoot. It is a truly beautiful public gardens with lots of colourful flower beds, magnificent specimen trees, traditional wooden benches a picturesque pond and a band stand.
I met up there with Joy and Sam one Saturday morning a few weeks ago to do a pre wedding photo shoot, this was a great opportunity for the three of us to get to know each other before their wedding
I was recently involved in the organization of a children’s photographic competition. This was a competition aimed a key stage 2 children and was targeted at a number of local schools, in the Halstead area. The competition was jointly organized and supported by the Rotary Club of Halstead, the Halstead Gazette and me, Tony Sale Photography. The theme was ‘Community Spirit’ and entrants were required to submit photographic prints at a minimum size of 7” x5”.
The winner of the competition was Carys Thomas (aged 11) a pupil at St Margaret’s School in Gosfield.
In my previous post I exhibited some of the photographs taken during Gemma and Joe’s wedding in St Andrews church in Halstead Essex. Well two days prior to the wedding they had a rehearsal in the same church around 6.30 in the evening. At this time it was dark outside and there was little light inside the church so I used this opportunity to practice some very low light photography and used what little light there was to produce some dramatic and artistic images.
Back in February of this year I did a pre wedding shoot with Gemma McCoyd and Joe MacAndrews, both from Ipswich in Suffolk. That shoot took place in the public gardens in Halstead on what was a very cold, windy and showery day.
As I said back then I was due to photograph their wedding later in the year and now that time has finally arrived – well in fact it has been and gone. They actually got married in St Andrews church in Halstead on the 19th March followed by a reception at Smeetham Hall Barn
