Summer Wedding at The Reid Rooms, Margaret Roding.
A beautiful British summers day, and I really mean that, not like so many August days of late which can be a bit flat or overcast or in some cases belting down with rain, this one really was beautiful. August last year the sun was shining and the weather calm. A brilliant day for Shelly and Steve who were getting married at The Reid Rooms in Margaret Roding.
Shelly and Steve had both been married previously but that was taking away none of the excitement. Shelly in particular I think was experiencing excitement and nerves in equal measure, it was wonderful therefore that she had her son and daughter and close family and friends to share the experience with her.
It was nice to see her get a little emotional as well during the wedding ceremony, I too think it can be quite an emotional event to verbalise publicly the true feeling you have for someone, she was amazing.
The Reid Rooms is a beautiful venue and location to get married and Shelley and Steve made the most of the courtyard and wonderful lawned area outside, before moving to the dining room for the wedding breakfast.
Everyone looked amazing on the day, Steve and the guys looked very dapper in their fine suits and Shelly looked fabulous in her wedding dress. Sadly I was only booked until the start of the wedding breakfast so I missed out on the evening fun but I’m sure it would have been brilliant. Actually I must say as a demonstration of how very kind Shelly and Steve are they actually invited me (and my assistant) to stay for a meal even though we were not staying until the evening. Sadly on this occasion I had to decline, but I thought it was very very kind of them.
I wish them both a very long and happy life together.
