A Christmas Wedding at The Fennes.

The Fennes is without doubt  one of my favourite wedding venues, it has so much to offer the bride and groom, as well as guests,  both inside the house as well as outside and around the gardens. It has some excellent photographic opportunities and as a bonus it’s very close to my home.

It was real joy therefore to photograph Samantha and Andy’s wedding there back in December. Samantha or ‘Sam’ as she also likes to be called and Andy are from Braintree and I first met them at their home just a few months before the wedding.

They had looked for a local Braintree wedding photographer via the web site Free Index and by all accounts had a received a massive response. So it was really nice for me that I was the one they arranged to see and I was the one they booked (cue nice warm glow). Apparently they had been very impressed with my images and warmed to me as a person.

As an aside, I actually think it’s very important for the bride and groom and the wedding photographer to meet prior to booking – it’s important that they get on, understand each other and work well together.)

Something else I must tell you about Sam, she is the first bride I know who made her own wedding shoes!!

Having got on so well with them at our first meeting it was a massive pleasure to see them again on the day of the wedding; They were both brilliant and despite it being in the middle of  winter and just a few days before Christmas we had a beautiful day with some very welcome sunshine.

Enjoy the photos.
