Engagement Photography in Sudbury Suffolk.
A few weeks ago I completed a pre wedding photo shoot with Louise and Mike, a really great couple, from Milford in Surrey. They both work for the same company involved in developing computer software and although they are based in Surrey Louise actually originates from Sudbury in Suffolk. It was in Sudbury, at Louise’s mums in fact, that I first met them almost a year ago and when they booked me to photograph their wedding. The time since then has gone incredibly fast but I have to say it was a great pleasure to meet up with them both again. We planned the photo shoot around the area of the Quay Theatre and local footpaths situated just off Sudbury town centre.
The day itself was cold and incredibly windy / breezy (you can tell if you look at their hair in the photographs) I’m sure it even started to rain at some point. Nevertheless, Louise and Mike were both wrapped up well and the shoot went ahead as planned. We had a great chance to try out many different poses, to photograph some natural light portraits and we also produced some great portraits using off camera flash.
After about an hour and a half we were done, we had lots of shots in the bag (or in the ‘can’ whatever the right terminology should be) and it really was starting to get quite cold and miserable. Hence we retired to the Quay Theatre were they very kindly made us some very welcome steaming hot coffee. Following this we all headed off to Moreves Barn at Great Waldingfield, this was to be Louise and Mike’s venue for their wedding reception and they had a meeting arranged with staff to discuss their wedding plans. I went along to check it out from a photographic perspective and make some plans / develop some ideas for the big day.
Following the day I was exchanging emails with Mike and in one of them he included the comment, ‘The photo shoot was really good, both Louise and I enjoyed it a great deal, and hopefully it will give us a more relaxed feeling on the wedding day”.
Below you will find a selection of photographs from our day, Louise and Mike have already seen them all and in fact ordered quite a few after receiving the prints Mike sent me another email saying, ‘We received the prints today and they are absolutely fantastic’.
