Location Portraits Braintree with Jeff.
This series of portraits were actually shot a couple of years back at Andrewsfield airfield near Great Dunmow.
Jeff is actually a good friend of mine, a fellow photographer and a very keen cyclist, perhaps even more so now than he was then.
He wanted some action shots of him with his bike, so off we set to have some fun. It’s great to take portrait photographs of someone whilst they are involved an activity which is important to them and which actually defines a part of who they are.
Because the images were shot in a specific location we tend to call these ‘location portraits’ or ‘environmental portraits’. It’s great because the location helps to the set the tone and the feel of the image.
Because we planned the specific time of the day for the shoot we knew the light would begin to fade as the time went on. This gave us further opportunity to shoot some portraits with a different look and feel, a chance to experiment with some off camera flash.
I love shooting portraits, I love shooting portraits in the studio, but I equally enjoy shooting portraits out on a location, there is something different every time.
If you fancy some location portraits or studio then do get in touch now and let’s get something booked.
