The Meadows in Sudbury, close to the Quay Theatre and the Granary is a beautiful area, very picturesque and a wonderful location for doing pre wedding photo shoots. It’s a location I have used a number of times and has lots of great features including, the river Stour running through the rich green meadows and rows of glorious colourful trees lining the route of the old disused railway track.
It was here that I met up with Jacqui and Dan one Sunday morning a few months ago to do their pre wedding photo shoot. This was a great opportunity for the three of us to get to know each other before their wedding at The Bull Hotel in Long Melford later in the year. The day was a beautiful autumn day absolutely glorious, the sun was shining and the leaves on the trees were golden brown and all around was peaceful and calm. A great day to be in rural Suffolk.
Jacqui and Dan are a lovely couple who live in Halstead just a few miles away. Although they were both a bit self conscious and perhaps feeling a bit awkward at first, they were also really keen enthusiastic and totally immersed themselves in the photo session. We managed to photograph in a number of different locations and included some nice portraits against brightly painted walls, a romantic walk strolling along the old railway track and some dramatic shots into the sun. They both said they had fully enjoyed the shoot and were looking forward to seeing the photos. It was also clear too that they had benefited greatly from the pre wedding photo shoot, they became increasingly relaxed and more natural as the morning went on I was looking forward to photographing their wedding later in the year.
