It was my privilege back on the 29^th April to photograph the wedding of Gaynor and Tony at Prested Hall near Kelvedon in Essex. As I’m sure most of you remember this was also a special day for another wedding as well – of course I’m referring to the Royal Wedding of William and Kate at Westminster Abbey. (As I had already agreed to photograph Gaynor and Tony’s wedding I unfortunately had to let Will’s and Kate down! But I think they managed to find someone else!).

Gaynor and Tony are a fantastic couple from Braintree also in Essex, for those of you that follow my blog you will know we did a pre wedding photo shoot, also at Prested Hall back in March this year.

The 29^th was a beautiful day, with blue skies and bright sunshine, Gaynor looked fantastic in her wedding dress and Tony had scrubbed up pretty good too, looking really cool in his morning suite and teal coloured cravat and handkerchief. The bridesmaids were also wearing teal coloured dresses and looked delightful. Unfortunately one of the bridesmaids, Gaynor’s daughter, Chloe, was feeling unwell on the day and was unable to carry out her role. That was a real shame but I’m pleased that she soon recovered and is feeling better now.

Both Tony and Gaynor had previously told me that they felt a bit nervous and uncomfortable about being photographed, but that’s really very difficult to believe because they were both so relaxed and the photographs look so natural. I think having a pre wedding photo shoot definitely helped. We were able to get to know each other a lot better, I was able to gain their confidence and most importantly I was able to give them some tips on how to stand and pose to look natural and relax. I think we got some beautiful photographs but I particularly like the natural light portraits taken on the bridge and in the grounds of the hall.

Prested Hall is an excellent wedding venue situated just off the A12 and not too far from either Chelmsford or Colchester both also in the wonderful county of Essex.
